Our Vision for Physical Education (PE) at Mundella School

In Physical Education we want to inspire children to participate in and enjoy physical activity and to recognise the importance of an active and healthy lifestyle.

PE is a valued part of our curriculum and we believe that the variety we offer within our school, including extra-curricular opportunities has a positive influence on the concentration, attitude and academic achievement of all our children.  It underpins our ethos of learning together and working as a team, nurturing the needs and talents of every child and develops high self-esteem and high expectations.

The Government is spending millions on improving physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools over the from 2013 to 2020. This is being allocated directly to schools to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children. The money can only be spent on sport and PE provision in schools.
