Holidays and Absences
Sickness Absence
If your child is ill or has a medical appointment and is unable to attend school or will be in late, please inform us by telephone. There is an option on the telephone system to leave a message for this. If no telephone message is received, our Learning Mentor will contact you to ask for an explanation for the absence.

Holiday Absence
The law states that parents or carers do not have the right to take their child out of school for the purposes of a holiday, leisure or recreational activity. Term time holidays in Sheffield will not be authorised unless there are exceptional reasons. If you take your child out of school without the school's permission, you may be issued with a penalty fine.
